Priyanka is a Patent Agent with the Intellectual Property Rights team at Solomon & Co. She holds a Master’s degree in Pharmacy, with a specialization in pharmaceutics from Pune University, as well as a certificate of a one-year advanced patent law program from NALSAR LAW University, Hyderabad. 

Prior to joining Solomon & Co., she worked with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, as a Project Associate and has interacted with various Multinational Companies as an integral part of her role.

Priyanka is well-versed with Patent laws across the world as well as the PCT International Patent System. She has a substantial experience spanning over 8 years, working with patents, including conducting availability searches across platforms, like QuestelOrbit, Patbase, Espacenet, USPTO, Patentscope and Scifinder (database curation, patentability search, FTO search, Patent invalidity search, Patent landscape search in the field of chemistry, API, Pharmaceuticals & FMCG products along with design FTO searches). In addition to handling patent searches, Priyanka also specializes in preparing patent applications, responding to office actions, managing patent oppositions, and providing strategic patent portfolio management. She has also represented clients before the Indian Patent Office, advising on patent infringement matters, and offering guidance on robust patent protection strategies in India and internationally.
